What is a "credit" and how are they consumed? How many credits will an image consume?

LogMeal operates on a credit-based system, where each API request (or "call") consumes either 1 credit or none, depending on the endpoint used. The API documentation specifies which endpoints consume credits and which do not. You can check that here.

Each pricing plan includes a set number of monthly credits, and if you exceed your allocated credits, additional calls may be charged. You can find the amount of credits consumed anytime in your user profile.

Here is an example on the credits consumed for a single image (1 image → 1 credit):

Food recognition (with portion estimation included) → 1 API call (1 credit)
Nutritional data → No additional credit needed
Recipe data → No additional credit needed

I am not sure about which plan is better for my needs, can I change it later?

You can upgrade or downgrade your plan anytime inside your user profile.

When are you going to charge me?

We will always charge the base price for your subscription at the beginning of the billing period (either monthly or annually depending on your selection). Furthermore, depending on the usage you make of your plan, you will be charged for the extra images used by the end of your billing period (only in case you make use of any extra images).

We will send you the invoices through an email specifying the usage you did of our services.

Will you charge me extra if I change my plan in the middle of the billing period?

Whenever you upgrade to a plan with increased benefits you will only be paying the difference between the cost of the new plan and the usage you already made of your current plan.

Alternatively, if you downgrade to a plan with less benefits, you will never be downgraded immediately. Instead, you will keep your current benefits until the beginning of the next billing period.

What will happen to my account after my Free plan expires?

Your account will remain accessible but inactive. You will only be able to continue using our services if you choose a paid plan either during the trial period or anytime in the future. You will be notified of its expiration through an email and you can upgrade it anytime in your user profile.

What payment methods do you support?

You can pay either by debit or credit card.

Do I need to include my credit/debit card details?

If you choose a free plan you will not be required to include your credit card details. If at some point you decide to upgrade to a paid plan you will be required to include your credit/debit card details beforehand.

How can I cancel my plan?

You can cancel your plan anytime in your user profile. Take into account that even after cancelling your account you will receive an invoice charging you for the extra usage done during the last month (only in case any extra images where used).

After cancelling your subscription renewal you can re-activate your account anytime.

I signed up but I do not know what to do next.

Make sure you first confirm your email address by clicking on the activation link on the email that we sent you. Do not forget to check both your regular inbox as well as your spam inbox. Only after confirming your email address you will have access to any endpoint available by the chosen LogMeal Plan.

Standard plans allow consuming up to 20 images/day per end user (APIUser) as well as 1 images/second per end user. You can create as many APIUsers as you want. For alternative requirements request a 'Custom' plan.

All customer support will be email-based. Our technical team will answer within 24-48 hours from Monday to Friday. Custom plan offers the possibility to have direct contact with a developer for more personalized support.
